BK Basketball Academy is a full-time basketball academy that allows students to study, train, and play. Academy athletes complete a diploma of sport, train on court, do strength and conditioning, and play high level games. Our mission is to develop well rounded basketball players and human beings, whilst providing athletes with an education and a career after basketball.

Our full time program runs over 12 months and is suitable for females and males aged 16-30 years of age. The diploma is delivered by qualified educators from Fit Education. The Academy is coached by a team of professional and experienced coaches led by 2-time Olympian, 4-time NBL Champion, and NBL Hall of Fame Coach Brian Kerle.

BK Academy has recently returned from Taiwan where they competed in the Fo Guang Cup, Taiwan’s biggest university competition. The tournament saw teams from Taiwan, Malaysia, New Zealand, America and Philippines compete in 7 days of competition. Our men’s team came back with a bronze medal in their first appearance at the Fo Guang Cup. There are many more touring opportunities on the horizon for our Academy, with tours to Thursday Island, regional Queensland, Taiwan, and Papua New Guinea coming in the next 6 months.
